Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using our site or booking services.

1. Agreement to terms

By accessing this website or engaging Sage Field Studio Photography for services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or services.

2. Who we are

3. Website use

  • You may not misuse the site, attempt unauthorised access, or interfere with its operation.
  • Content is provided “as is” and for general information; we may update or withdraw pages without notice.
  • Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or policies.

4. Booking, fees, and payments

  • Quotes are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise.
  • A signed agreement and retainer may be required to secure dates. Retainers are typically non-refundable but transferable subject to availability (see Cancellation/Reschedule).
  • Invoices are payable by the due date shown. Late payments may accrue interest at the statutory rate plus reasonable recovery costs.

5. Cancellations and rescheduling

  • Client cancellation: retainers are non-refundable; additional time reserved may be charged if cancelled within 7 days of the shoot.
  • Rescheduling: we will try to accommodate one date change with reasonable notice. Additional reschedules may incur fees.
  • Force majeure: neither party is liable for delay or failure due to events beyond reasonable control. We will propose a good-faith remedy (reschedule/credit).

6. Client responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information, access permissions, and any required permits.
  • Ensure subjects have consented to be photographed and minors are supervised by a responsible adult.
  • Designate a point of contact on the day to approve priorities and must-have shots.

7. Creative control and revisions

  • Artistic style: by commissioning us you acknowledge our style and grant reasonable creative discretion on the day.
  • Edits/retouching: the quote includes standard colour correction and basic retouching unless otherwise stated. Additional edits are chargeable.
  • Selection: we curate delivered images; RAW files are not supplied unless agreed in writing.

8. Delivery

  • Typical delivery windows are specified in your proposal. Times are estimates and may vary with scope and approvals.
  • Delivery format: web galleries, download links, or physical media as agreed. Please back up delivered files promptly.

9. Intellectual property and usage

  • Unless otherwise agreed, we retain copyright to all images.
  • Client license: non-exclusive usage as specified in the proposal (e.g., website, social, press) for the agreed term and territories.
  • Third-party use (e.g., partner brands, sponsors) requires a separate license unless expressly included.
  • We may display work in our portfolio, website, social channels, competitions, or marketing unless you notify us in writing before the shoot (subject to NDAs where applicable).

10. Model and property releases

Where needed, you are responsible for obtaining model/property releases unless we have specifically agreed to arrange them.

11. Warranties and liability

  • We will exercise reasonable skill and care; however, the site and services are provided “as is” without warranties beyond those required by law.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid for the specific assignment.
  • You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your misuse of content, lack of permissions, or breach of these terms.

12. Online purchases and cart

If our site offers a cart for products or digital downloads, your order is subject to availability and separate product descriptions. See our Refund Policy for returns and cancellations.

13. Privacy and cookies

Use of our site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we use cookies and analytics and how to manage your preferences.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to applicable consumer law protections.

15. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site or services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
